(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges in connection to a September pharmacy robbery.
On September 23, 2015, at approximately 1820 hrs, a lone male entered a pharmacy situated along the 1900 block of Russell Road. The suspect produced a prescription, the authenticity of which was questioned by the pharmacist. When the prescription wasn’t immediately filled, the suspect threatened the pharmacist. The suspect was provided the sought after prescription drug and fled the premises.
There were no injuries.
On September 28, 2015, the suspect was arrested on an unrelated matter and held in custody. He has now been charged in relation to this robbery.
Mostafa ISSA, age 23 of Ottawa, is charged with the following offences:
Robbery
Uttering a forged document
Personation
Two counts of Breach Recognizance
Mr. ISSA appears in court on this matter on October 7, 2015.
