Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau have charged four men following a stabbing at a nightclub in the City of Markham.
On Sunday, September 25, 2016, at 2:20 a.m., police were called to a nightclub located in the area of Woodbine Avenue and Steelcase Road after a report that someone had been stabbed. When officers arrived they located a 36-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to hospital suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses were able to identify a group of suspects, believed to have been responsible for the stabbing, who fled the parking lot in a vehicle. Officers stopped the suspect vehicle and investigated the occupants. The driver of the vehicle was found to be impaired by alcohol. The other occupants were identified as being part of the altercation in the club that led up to the stabbing.
