(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Monday December 12, 2011 from 11 a.m. until noon, Perth County OPP officers conducted a R.I.D.E. program at the intersection of Perth Road 180 and Perth Line 24 in Staffa.
At about 11:15 a.m. officers were checking the driver of a Ford pickup truck when they observed an open bottle of liquor beside the driver. A subsequent search also located a full bottle of liquor in the vehicle. Both bottles were seized by police. The 42 year old male driver from the Municipality of West Perth was charged with “driving a motor vehicle with open container of liquorâ€Â.
During this time period seventy five motorists were checked at this R.I.D.E. location.
