Chad Owen MITCHELL – Drunk Driving

(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Monday, March 17, 2014, just after midnight, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a suspicious vehicle on Hwy. 10 in the Township of Chatsworth.

The vehicle, 1999 GMC Sierra pick-up truck, was stuck in a private laneway on Hwy. 10 near Holland Centre. The truck tires were spinning in an effort to extricate itself from the snow.

Police arrived and found that the driver had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested and brought to the Chatsworth OPP Detachment for breath tests. The test results showed he had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system.

Chad Owen MITCHELL, 42, of Owen Sound, was charged with impaired care and control of a motor vehicle and over 80 milligrams under the Criminal Code.

He is scheduled to appear in court in Owen Sound on Thursday, April 10, 2014.
