(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Tuesday April 05, 2011 The Perth County OPP investigated the theft of a cement deer garden ornament from a Mitchell residence. On Thursday April 07, 2011 an OPP officer on patrol observed the suspect vehicle in Mitchell and spoke to the driver about the deer. The driver readily admitted taking the deer from the side of the road believing it had been thrown out.
The driver immediately drove to his residence, picked up the deer and returned it to its rightful owner.
