On February 19, 2014 at 4:30 a.m., the Guelph Police went to a Zaduc Place residence after a call for a suspicious male who had asked a resident for assistance in getting his vehicle out of a snow bank. The police arrived to find the male had locked the keys inside the vehicle with it running and in reverse. The vehicle was removed from the snow bank by a tow truck and the male began to drive away but was stopped immediately by police. Further investigation had revealed that the male was unlicenced and that the car was stolen. The man was subsequently arrested.
Catlin GREER, 25 years of Guelph has been charged with theft over $5,000 and driving with no licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He will appear in court on April 1, 2014.
