(TOWN OF FERGUS, ON) – On Wednesday September 12, 2012 at approximately 2:00pm County of Wellington OPP officers were notified of a shoplifter found at the Zehrs Markets at 800 Tower Street, in Fergus.
Store staff advised police that they noticed a female party take multiple food and vitamin items off the shelves and place them in her personal bags that were in her shopping cart. The female then exited the store without paying for the items. The female was confronted by store staff and arrested for theft.
Cathy Churly aged 48 of Orangeville has been charged with Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code. She is scheduled to appear in Guelph Court on October 16, 2012 to answer to the charge.
