(MUNICIPALITY OF WEST PERTH, ON) On Thursday evening July 12, 2012, the owners of a rural residence, located along Hwy 8 between Dublin and St. Columban, reported the theft of money from inside their home.
It was determined that sometime between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on July 12th, the culprit entered the unlocked man-door to the attached garage. From the garage an unlocked door allowed entry into the living quarters of the residence. The interior home was searched through but only a small amount of cash was taken.
Anyone with information about this break-in is requested to contact the Perth County OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Should you wish to remain anonymous, you may call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), and you may be eligible to receive a cash reward of up to $2,000.
Residents are urged to lock their doors and windows when leaving their homes, and to keep watch over their neighbours’ homes when they are away. Report any suspicious activity to the police immediately.
