(TOWNSHIP OF GEORGIAN BLUFFS, ON) – On February 12, 2017 at approximately 2:57 a.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting a R.I.D.E. (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program on Hwy. 6 & 21 (Sunset Strip) in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
The driver of a 1988 GMC GM4 vehicle, 20 year old Brock MORRIS, of Owen Sound, was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for being a novice driver and having a blood-alcohol content above zero. He was issued a 3-day driver’s licence suspension.
The driver of a 2016 Toyota Corolla, 34-year old Carrie HOLLANDS, of Owen Sound, was charged with over 80 mg after she failed a roadside breath test and was transported to Chatsworth OPP Detachment for further breath tests. The rental car she was driving was impounded for 7-days. She is scheduled to appear in court on March 2, 2017.
