(SOUTH BRUCE, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) South Bruce Detachment is warning all residents after drugs seized in South Bruce, Ontario, were tested by Health Canada and confirmed to be Carfentanil.
Police are issuing a public warning associated to the dangers of this deadly opioid after drugs seized in July, 2019 were confirmed to be Carfentanil.
The OPP want to inform the public of the extreme risks associated to ingesting carfentanil. Carfentanil is 100 times more toxic than fentanyl and 10,000 times more toxic than morphine. Exposure to a very small amount of this drug, as little as a grain of salt or two milligrams of powder, could be fatal through ingestion, inhalation or absorption through the skin.
