Huron East, ON) On December 4, 2009 at approximately 6:30 am, Huron OPP officers were involved in a foot pursuit with a male in the area of Division Line and Bridge Road. Police were tracking Stoll’s foot prints in the snow and they were led to a Bridge Road residence. At this address it was apparent that the fleeing male entered a pick-up truck and fled the scene.
Police are now looking for a dark blue 2005 GMC Sierra Z21. It has a short box and is equipped with a soft roll up tonneau cover. The plate number is 570 8VH. Investigation confirms that the truck had been left unlocked and with the keys inside.
On several occasions in the last few months police officers have been involved in foot pursuits of fleeing suspects. During those dangerous and busy times, officers have had to deplete resources to begin checking vehicles at private residences to ensure that the fleeing suspects do not locate an escape vehicle. Dozens of vehicles have been located by officers which have been left unlocked and with the keys inside. LP09308456
