(TOWSHIP OF PERTH EAST, ON) On Tuesday January 04, 2011 around 8 p.m. a Perth County OPP officer in a marked cruiser was stopped on the shoulder of Hwy. 8 west of Sebringville. The officer observed a west car starting to pass another west bound vehicle.
The passing car lost control due to the snowy/slushy road conditions and nearly struck the cruiser.
The officer pulled over the car and charged the 21 year old male driver from the Municipality of West Perth with careless driving.
