(PERTH EAST, ON)- On Monday February 20, 2017 shortly after 2:00 p.m. Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Perth East Fire Department and Perth County Paramedic Services responded to a collision between a car and an ambulance. This was at the intersection of Perth Line 29 and Perth Road 112 in the Township of Perth East.
The three occupants of the ambulance and four occupants of the car were transported by ambulance to a local area hospital for assessment and treatment. Two of the occupants of the car remain in critical, but stable condition.
OPP Technical Collision Investigators with the Highway Safety Division attended the location and are assisting with the investigation. Line 29 remains closed between Perth Road 113 and Perth Road 111. Perth Road 112 is closed between Lorne Avenue (Stratford) and Perth Line 26. This road closure will remain in effect approximately another 45 minutes to assist with this investigation. Drivers are encouraged to take alternate routes to avoid delays.
