(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has charged a Cantley man following an investigation into allegations of a historic sexual assault.
In July 2015, an adult male reported to Ottawa Police that he was sexually assaulted in the home of the accused after receiving private singing lessons. The two parties met as a result of the accused being the assistant organist of the Boys Choir at Christ Church Cathedral between the years of 1966-1968. There are no further details to protect the identity of the victim or victims.
Gerald WILKIN, 86 years old, of Cantley is charged with Indecent Assault on a male and Gross Indecency. He is scheduled to appear in court today.
SACA investigators are concerned that there could be other victims.
