Canada Road Safety Week Begins With You

(SOUTH BRUCE COUNTY, ON) – May 13 – 20, 2013 will mark Canada Road Safety Week, a national campaign to make Canada’s roads the safest in the world. Canada Road Safety Week was officially kicked off on Parliament Hill today (Friday, May 10, 2013) where the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and a number of policing partners affirmed their commitment to support the national campaign’s goal of saving lives on Canada’s roads.

This week has been strategically chosen, as it leads up to the first summer long weekend. More people are traveling and traffic collisions are more frequent. Police vehicles will be stationed at key locations to remind people that safe driving habits save lives and reduce injuries on our roadways.
