Camper Pitches Tent Near Railway Tracks

On Monday 05th August at 1223hrs Barrie Police were called to attend the railway tracks in the area of Essa Rd / Tiffin St regarding a male apparently having set up a tent near to those tracks. On attending police found a 29 year old male who had pitched his tent close to the tracks together with a desk and couch. His intention was to stay for a while. After advice from the officers the male agreed that there were safer places to camp and so moved along. Barrie Police would like to remind all members of the public of the inherent danger in being on or near to railway tracks.
