Cacie Lyne DAWSON – 180 in an 80

(TOWNSHIP OF WELLINGTON NORTH, ON) – On Monday June 11, 2018 at approximately 5:30 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on Wellington Road 6, near Mount Forest. The officer observed a female driving a white sedan at a speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar in excess of 180 km/h, exceeding the posted speed limit by at least 100km/hr.

30-year-old Cacie Lyne DAWSON of Kitchener has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act and is scheduled to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on August 1, 2018. Her driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of seven days as per statute.
