Cab Driver Squatting In Road Claims To Have Been Struck By UBER Driver

On Friday Sept 18, 2015 at 11:45 pm., a 55 year Cambridge man was working as an UBER driver in Kitchener. He was observed by a City Cab Driver, who confronted him and a verbal altercation ensued. The City Cab driver walked in front of the accused vehicle, squatted down to take a picture of his licence plate. The UBER driver drove towards the City Cab Driver lightly striking him causing him to fall backwards. The UBER driver reversed his vehicle and sped off into oncoming traffic allegedly running two red lights on King Street. As a result of the investigation the 55 year old Cambridge man was charged with assault with a weapon and dangerous driving and released on a PTA. No injuries were reported to police as a result of this incident.
