Cab Driver Robbed At Knife Point

(Central Huron, ON) On Friday December 4, 2009 at approximately 3:45pm a 17 year old male placed a call to B&B Taxi for a pick him up at the A&W restaurant in Goderich. A taxi operator picked up the male and was directed to Bluewater Beach Road and then to Black’s Point Road. At the end of the road the accused exited the vehicle and then displayed a knife while telling the cab driver to get out and keep walking. The male stole the van and later led police on a chase that ended in Perth County. The cab driver was not harmed in the incident.

As a result of the investigation, the 17 year old is now facing one count of Robbery with a Weapon, one count of Dangerous Driving, one count of Possession of Stolen Property, one count of Flight from Police, one count of Fail to Comply with Undertaking. He was held in custody.
