(ASHFIELD-COLBORNE-WAWANOSH, ON) – An early morning Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint identified a driver that had been drinking the night before. Just before 8:30 a.m. on October 20, 2013 a Dodge Journey entered the R.I.D.E checkpoint located at the intersection of Bluewater Veterans Highway and Saltford Road. Officers spoke with the male driver and detected the odour of alcohol on the driver’s breath. He admitted to drinking alcohol the night before. A roadside test was administered which resulted in the driver blowing a warn range suspension.
The 62 year old male driver from Arkona was served with a three day driver’s licence suspension.
