At approximately 12:18 a.m. Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Huron EMS & Goderich Fire Department responded to the two-story home after receiving an emergency call for assistance. The caller reported to police there was a male inside the residence that appeared to be sleeping on a living room sofa and he could hear a smoke alarm sounding off inside the residence.
