On Friday June 26, 2015 just after 11am, emergency services responded to the 200 block of Lancaster St. W. in Kitchener for a report of an assault and found a 23 year old Kitchener male with serious injuries. The victim was transported to hospital and subsequently air lifted to Hamilton for further treatment. The victim remains in hospital at this time. A 41 year old man of no fixed address has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault and was held for show cause. Investigators believe that the victim and the accused were known to each other and that this was not a random act. No further arrests are anticipated. The investigation is continuing.
