(HURON EAST, ON) – A male driver from Toronto has been charged with Possession of Cannabis Resin following a traffic stop that took place late last night. Just after 11:00 p.m. a Toyota Sequoia entered into a Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (R.I.D.E) checkpoint that was set up at the intersection of Kippen Road and Front Street.
While speaking with the driver the investigating officer detected the odour of marihuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search of the vehicle ensued and a small quantity of cannabis resin was located inside the vehicle.
Bruce BROKENSHIRE, 44 years of age, from Toronto was taken into custody and later released with an Appearance Notice. He has a court date scheduled for November 7, 2016 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich.
