Bridge Hit And Run

On October 19, 2013 at 9:30 a.m., a large commercial truck (tractor-trailer) was travelling southbound on Wyndham Street just south of Carden Street; it went under the bridge (overpass) for railway tracks. The trailer portion came into contact with the bridge I-beam guard above it. There was minimal damage to the I-beam, however it is believed there was significant damage to the top of the trailer portion of the commercial motor vehicle. The commercial motor vehicle initially stopped, but eventually continued southbound on Wyndham Street.

Wyndham Street north bound and south bound between Carden Street and Farquhar Street has been closed to vehicular traffic until further notice.
