Brian JOHNSTON – Drunk Driving

(GODERICH, ON) – A few minutes after midnight on July 5, 2013 a Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer spotted a blue Saturn enter the Mac’s Convenience store parking lot located on Victoria Street South. The Saturn did not have a front licence plate attached to the vehicle. Upon speaking with the driver the officer observed the driver to be displaying several signs of impairment by alcohol. The driver was arrested for Impaired Driving and was transported to the Huron OPP Detachment for breath tests. He provided two samples of his breath to a qualified Intoxilizer technician. Both of the tests were above the legal limit.

Brian JOHNSTON, 33, from Goderich has been charged with Impaired Driving and Drive Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Milligrams of Alcohol. He has a court date scheduled for the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich on August 19, 2013. He received an automatic 90 day driver’s licence suspension and the motor vehicle was impounded for seven days.
