On August 1, 2014,just after 2:30am, Waterloo Regional Police responded to a break and enter that occurred at a residence on General Dr in the city of Kitchener. Thanks to a quick call to police from witnesses and an accurate description, responding officer were able to locate and arrest the suspect a short distance from the residence. A 20 year old Kitchener man has been charged with Break and Enter and Commit Theft; Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000; 2 counts of Theft Under $5000; and 2 counts of Trespass by Night. Further charges are pending in relation to an investigation into theft from vehicles in the area.
