At approximately 1:45 am Owen Sound Police Service responded to a reported break and enter to an east side apartment. The occupant of the apartment advised police dispatch that the two suspects had fled his residence on a motor bike. Officers responding to the call observed a motor bike, with two riders, fleeing the area at a high rate of speed. The motor bike was travelling without lights and failed to stop for numerous stop signs. Due to safety concerns officers did not initiate a pursuit.
The occupant of the apartment was not physically harmed and no property was taken from the residence. The motor bike is described as a small possibly on-off road motor cycle.
Police believe the general public is not at risk. Anyone with information relating to this investigation is asked to contact Owen Sound Police Service or Crime Stoppers of Grey Bruce.
