(HURON EAST, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers including members from the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) are currently investigating a break-in and theft that occurred early Monday morning at a commercial property in Vanastra.
Between 12:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on April 24, 2017 thieves entered into the Goliath Roofing business located on Winnipeg Road in Vanastra. Investigators believe access was gained into the building by prying open a wooden door. Once inside the suspects located one of the company trucks and then they proceeded to hook up an empty trailer that was parked outside of the building. At that point the thieves proceeded to load the trailer with all kinds of stolen property.
The suspects also vandalized a Chevrolet Camaro that was parked inside by scratching several large marks into the passenger side door.
Some of the stolen items include:
A grey, 2005 Ford F-350 truck with Goliath Roofing” decals painted on each side of the truck. This truck is equipped with a topper and a ladder rack. (Attached Photo)
