On July 15, 2015, the Guelph Police received the report of a break and enter to 735 Woolwich Street, which is a vacant building. Police had investigated a break in here on July 13, 2015. The culprit(s) stole copper from the building.

Attempt robbery
On July 15, 2015 at 9:15 p.m., the Guelph Police received a 911 call for an attempted robbery. A male was walking along the path between Clair Road and Clairfields Drive and was approached by an unknown man. The man demanded money but the male victim ran from the area and called police.
Police checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
He is described as being in his mid twenties, dark complexion, 5’10” with short hair. He was wearing a grey T-Shirt with black dots across it and black pants.

Theft from cars
On July 15, 2015 the Guelph Police received six reports from Guelph residents about thefts from their cars. The locations were Primrose Lane, Hands Drive, Ryde Road, Pickwick Place and two on Fairmeadow Drive.
This crime is easily avoided by locking your cars, keeping valuables out of sight or removed from your vehicle and parked in a well-lit and visible area where possible.
