On April 19th Barrie Police responded to an early morning break and enter on the west side of the city. The entry occurred while occupants of the home were sleeping.
Police found through investigation that basement windows to the home were left open for ventilation purposes and the suspect(s) entered via an insecure sliding window.
Barrie Police remind citizens now that the warmer weather is upon us, to be vigilant in locking and/or securing basement and ground floor windows and to always secure your home from the opportunistic criminal.
