On August 12, 2013 at 8:56 a.m., the Guelph Police were notified of a break and enter in progress at a Janefield Avenue residence. Police, including a canine unit, attended and secured the perimeter of the residence. A male inside the home surrendered to police without incident. A search of the home discovered that the male caused extensive damage (with an approximate value of over $20,000).
A 44-year-old Guelph male has been charged with mischief over $5,000, theft under $5,000, break and enter to commit and three counts of breach probation. He was held in custody and will appear in bail court on August 13, 2013.
