Barrie Police were called to a Wellington St medical building for a report of a break and enter in progress.
A custodian arrived to open the building and observed a front window had been smashed and the building entered.
Police were able to locate personal belongings and government identification of the suspect.
Police observed the suspect had made attempts at entering a pharmacy but was unsuccessful.
Police searched the building and located the suspect on the third floor of the building sleeping on the floor.
A 50 year old Barrie male was arrested and transported to the Barrie Police Service and held for a bail hearing.
He has been charged with mischief x3, break and enter and breaching his probation order.
Witnesses are asked to call PC Frouws or Crime stoppers.
Alcohol is believed to have been a factor in this incident.
