On the 16th of October 2014, at approximately 1:15am, police received a call from a citizen who was witnessing two males break into a restaurant in the area of Ferndale and Dunlop Street.

Police responded immediately and observed the two males exit the premise carrying food products. One male was immediately placed under arrest for break and enter while the second male fled north along Ferndale on foot and ran into a near by bush area.

Other police units quickly responded and a perimeter was set up in the area in an attempt to quarantine the outstanding suspect for the Police K-9 unit.
