At approximately 7:10pm on April 28, 2014, Waterloo Regional Police received a phone call from a concerned citizen regarding a suspicious person. A man was seen entering onto people’s property and attempting to steal items. Patrol officers located the man in the area of River Road East and Manchester Road. The man was observed pushing a stolen lawnmower and carrying several bags containing stolen items. A 28 year old Kitchener man was arrested and charged for Breach Recognizance, Breach Probation, Theft Under $5000 x 2, Possession of Stolen Property x 2. The male was held overnight for a Show Cause Hearing. The Waterloo Regional Police is requesting that any residents in the noted area who had property taken from garages / sheds on April 28, to call 519-650-8500 x4499 with a detailed description of what is outstanding.
