Brantford Stabbing Update

Detectives from Major Crime continue their investigation into identifying the person responsible for last evening’s stabbing. The victim, a 31 year old Brantford man has since been released from hospital and continues to be un-cooperative with investigators. It is believed that the victim knows the person responsible for the stabbing and that the crime was not a random attack.

When officers arrived at 3 Alfred Street the victim was found on the sidewalk. Investigators followed a trail of blood leading from the victim into the apartment complex and up to one of the apartment units. Officers ensured that no other victims were inside the residence.

Police remain at the apartment complex securing the scene as investigators work on obtaining a warrant in order to search for evidence related to this crime.
