Incident: A two vehicle collision at Erie and Port Streets resulted in Erie Ave being closed on Saturday September 26 shortly after 9am. One vehicle rolled over which sent two persons for treatment. The driver of one of the vehicles has been charged with Careless Driving.

Incident: An 18 yr old Brantford man received stitches to a wound to his head after consuming beers with two friends prior to an argument. Around 11:30 on Saturday September 26, 2015 one of the victim’s friends became involved in an argument with the victim. The other male then smashed a beer bottle across the victim’s head, causing him to require medical treatment. The male that used the beer bottle ran from the scene. Police are seeking a 19 year old male (known to police) for assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

Locations: Market /Grey Streets
Incident: Police were called at 12:19am to the Gentlemen’s Club on Sunday September 27th after three men were refused entry into the bar due to one male’s intoxication. Two of the males retreated to their vehicle and returned with pool cues and began hitting the door to the bar. Two bouncers exited the bar to stop the males and one was struck in the head with a pool cue and was knocked unconscious. Both attackers fled prior to police arrival. However, one of the males, a 38 yr old male from Six Nations was arrested at the scene after during his escape he ran into the darkness and became wedged between two trees. Police untangled the male from the tree and he has since been charged with assault with a weapon. The second male, a 37 yr old male from Six nations (known to police) fled the scene and is being sought for the same charge.
Type: Home Invasion
Locations: Murray Street
Incident: On Sunday September 27, 2015 at 144pm Police received a 911 call in regard to a possible home invasion in progress on Murray Street. Investigation has revealed that two men attended to the Murray Street home to collect a debt. Once they forced their way into the residence they began assaulting persons that they found inside. As police arrived on scene, the two males fled in a Hyundai, reversing out of the driveway to make their escape. The vehicle struck a police officer (minor injuries) and fled down the street. The vehicle lost control at the corner of East Ave and Peel and struck a hydro pole. Both males fled but were subsequently arrested. A 33 yr old Brantford man has been charged with Break and Enter, Assault with a weapon, Dangerous Driving and Disqualified Driving. The second, 28 yr old Brantford man has been charged with break and enter and breach of probation.

Incident: A pizza business on Charing Cross was broken into after they closed for the evening early Sunday (Sept 27) morning. Unknown persons smashed the front glass and stole a laptop and money.
Type: Mischief
Locations: Market Street
Incident: A 26 yr old Brantford male that advised he had no place to live was observed around 11:30pm on Sunday evening smashing a window at a bank and then walked down the street and smashed a large pane window at a downtown bar. As police arrived on scene, witnesses were pointing out the same male who was now smashing a garbage container in Victoria Park. He was subsequently arrested and has been charged with three counts of Mischief.
