Location: Cherry Hill Ln/Golf Rd
Incident: On October 31, 2015 at around 1:35 a.m. a citizen dialed 9-1-1 to report an SUV being driven in the area with no front tire. Officers located the vehicle which had pulled over in the area of Golf Road and Cherry Hill Lane, the front tire missing and had been driving on the rim. Officers arrested the driver for impaired driving. Investigation revealed that a parked vehicle on St Andrews Drive was struck by the SUV. The accused failed to remain at the scene of the accident. The accused was transported to the Brantford Police Service to provide two samples of his breath as required by law. The accused blew over three times the legal limit. The accused, a 39 year old Acton man was held in custody for a bail hearing charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80, Fail to Remain at a Scene of an Accident and Fail to Comply with a Recognizance of Bail.

Location: Maria Avenue
Incident: Sometime between October 30 and October 31, 2015 a vehicle parked on a lot on Maria Avenue was damaged by black spray paint. The windows and roof top was vandalized.

Location: Charing Cross Street – Kentucky Fried Chicken
Details: On the morning of October 31, 2015 it was discovered that a front door glass window was smashed. No entry was gained.
Type: Break and Enter (Commercial)
Incident: 36924-15
Location: King George Road – Spirit Halloween- (300 block)
Details: On the morning of October 31, 2015 a break and enter was discovered at a business on King George Road. Steel roof top panels had been cut open and entry was gained through the roof of the business. Cash registers inside the business were forced open and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. Investigation continues.
Type: Disturbances
Incident: The BPS responded to several early morning disturbances on Sunday November 1, 2015. At around 12:05 a.m. officers attended in the area of Colborne Street and Drummond Street about a disturbance involving several males on the road shoving each other. Officers attended and the crowd group dispersed. Shortly before 1:30 a.m. a 9-1-1 call was received about a disturbance out front of a business on Dalhousie Street (100 block). Officer attended and located a man who was not wanted at a licensed establishment. The male was taken home by Officers. Shortly before 2:00 a.m. a 9-1-1 call was received about 6 persons fighting outside of a business on Colborne Street (200 block). Officers attended and the group had already left the area.
Type: Intoxicated Person
Incident: Brantford Police Station
Incident: On November 1, 2015 at around 12:30 a.m. a local Taxi driver attended the Brantford Police Service with a fare after the client had passed out in the back seat of the taxi and the driver had concerns regarding the male not paying for services. Officers spoke with the fare and contacted the fare’s mother and made arrangements for the male to be driven to a family’s home where the services would be taken care of. The fare was cooperative and officers followed the taxi to this address to ensure all in order.

Location: Copernicus Avenue (100 block)
Incident: On November 1, 2015 shortly before 2:00 a.m. two persons attempted to break into a business on Copernicus Boulevard. Employees inside of the business were alerted to noises coming from a rear locked door. The suspect(s) were attempting to pry open a rear door and were scared off. The suspect(s) were last seen running away on foot. Both were described as wearing dark clothing.

Location: Grey Street (400 block)
Details: On November 1 shortly at around 2:45 a.m. a 45 year old woman from Grey Street was arrested after contacting 9-1-1 several times and falsely reporting a fire. The accused was charged with Mischief and Breach of Probation and was held in custody for a bail hearing.

Location: White Oaks Avenue – Greenbrier School
Incident: Sometime over the weekend a break and enter took place at Green Brier School on White Oaks Avenue. The school also had eggs thrown at it over the weekend.

Location: Market Street (100 block)
Incident: On November 1, 2015 sometime during the day an apartment door was forced open. Cash was reported stolen from the apartment.
