Date: June 6, 2015
Incident: On June 6, 2015 shortly before 2:00 a.m. an Officer on routine patrol observed a vehicle travelling in the area of Clarence Street and Dalhousie Street. The vehicle had made an illegal turn and was observed swerving several times. The Officer conducted a traffic stop. The male driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for Impaired Driving. The accused was taken to the Brantford Police Service where he provided samples of his breath. The accused readings were 2 ½ times over the legal limit.
The accused a 26 yr old Brantford man is charged with;
Operate a Motor Vehicle While Impaired
Operate a Motor Vehicle over the Legal Limit
Further the accused licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.
Type: Mischief – Damage to Property
Incident # 15-17668
Date: June 6, 2015
Location: Market Street South
Incident: June 6, 2015 at around 4:15 a.m. the BPS received several telephone calls regarding a young female kicking and smashing windows on cars in the area of 50 Market Street South. Community Patrol Officers attended in the area and located a17 year old female at the Civic Centre. The front glass door to the Civic Centre had been smashed as well as several vehicles at the parking lot on Market Street South. The female was arrested for mischief regarding the damage. The accused was intoxicated and uncooperative during the arrest. The accused was transported to the Brantford Police Service and then released on a Promise to Appear with an Undertaking. The accused is charged with Mischief under $5,000.00 (CCC) and Intoxicated in a Public Place (LLA)
Type: Domestic – Assault with a Weapon
Incident # 15-17764
Date: June 6, 2015
Location: Dalhousie Street
Incident: On Saturday June 6, 2015 shortly after 10:00 p.m. BPS received a telephone call from EMS to attend an address on Dalhousie Street regarding a male victim who had been stabbed. Community Patrol Officers attended and arrested a woman, the common-law partner of the victim for Assault with a Weapon and Assault Causing Bodily Harm. The victim received a small puncture wound to his upper body area. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries and released. The accused a 26 year old Brantford woman was held in custody for a bail hearing.
Type: Damage to Property – 13 Bus Shelters

Date: June 6, 2015
Location: Various locations
Incident: On Saturday June 6, 2015 sometime between 10:30 p.m. and midnight 13 bus shelters received damaged. Glass was smashed out at the shelters. On one incident shortly after 11:30 p.m. an alert citizen heard the sound of glass smashing and called the police to report that the bus shelter on Grey Street had been damaged.
It is believed that suspect(s) were in some type of vehicle as the shelters were randomly targeting all across the city and transportation would have been needed given the time frame they were damaged.

Incident: On Sunday June 7, 2015 shortly after 5:30 a.m. the BPS received a 911 emergency telephone call from a citizen reporting that a vehicle driving on Dunsdon Street had struck a parked car. Investigation revealed that a 29 year old Brantford man had struck a parked vehicle. The impact caused the parked vehicle to move forward and strike a second parked vehicle. The driver was given a breath demand at the roadside and registered a warn reading. The driver was subsequently issued a 3-day roadside drivers licence suspension and charged with Careless driving under the HTA.
