Type: Theft from Vehicle

Date: August 11, 2015

Location: North Park Street

Incident: On August 10th, 2015 between 11:15 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. a passenger side window on a vehicle was smashed out. A blue purse containing identification was stolen from inside the vehicle.

Date: August 11, 2015

Location: Lynden Road

Incident: On August 10th, 2015 between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. a vehicle was entered while parked on the lot at the Lynden Park Mall. A wallet containing identification and a cellular telephone was stolen from inside the vehicle.

The BPS would like to remind the community that with warmer temperatures comes the

increased responsibility of ensuring your valuables are protected. Warmer weather

usually has us bringing out valuables such as lawn furniture, garden decorations and

bicycles. This is also a time when we leave doors and windows open and unlocked.

Citizens are encouraged to take a second to look inside their vehicles for items (wallets,

electronics, change, GPS, garage door openers, ect) that may make them an attractive

target for thieves, remove the items and then lock the vehicle before they leave it.” (Look,

If it is valuable to you, don’t leave an item in a place where it can be easily stolen.

Report any incidents of theft and/or attempt theft of your property to the Brantford Police

Service.

The BPS requests citizens to report all crimes and suspicious activities which take

place on your property. All thefts from your motor vehicles should be reported to

the BPS regardless if items are stolen.
