Type: Impaired Driver

Date: August 8, 2015

Location: Market Street and Grey Street

Incident: On Saturday August 8th, 2015 shortly after 1:00 a.m. officers from the B.E.A.T Unit and K9 Patrol were together in the downtown area checking establishments regarding liquor licence compliance. Officers observed a vehicle driving in the area of Grey Street and Market Street and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle in a parking lot. The male driver displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for Impaired Driving. The accused was taken to the Brantford Police Service where he provided samples of his breath as required by law. The accused readings were 2 times over the legal limit. The accused a 21 yr old Brantford man is charged with;

Operate a Motor Vehicle While Impaired and Operate a Motor Vehicle over the Legal Limit. Further the accused licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Type: Attempt Break and Enter – Residential

Date: August 9, 2015

Location: Alice Street

Incident: On August 9, 2015 at around 12:20 a.m. a resident from Alice Street was woken by loud banging noises sounding like someone was trying to enter her home. Community Patrol Officers attended and found noone around the home however a screen window was damaged in an attempt to gain entry.

Type: Damage to School

Date: August 9, 2015

Location: Lansdowne School – Preston Boulevard

Incident: On August 9, 2015 shortly before 11:00 a.m. it was discovered that two windows had been smashed out by rocks at the rear of Lansdowne School. It does not appear that entry was gained and no items were reported stolen.

Type: Break and Enter (Commercial)

Date: August 10, 2015

Location: Prime Communications – King George Road

Incident: On August 10, 2015 at around 12:15 a.m. an alarm was activated at a business on King George Road. Two glass doors were smashed out and drawers rummaged through. A list of items stolen is being completed. Investigators will review video surveillance in the area.

place on your property. All thefts from your motor vehicles should be reported to

the BPS regardless if items are stolen.
