Brantford Crime Briefs – 28June2016

Type: Theft (Residential)

Incident # 16-22951

Date: June 27, 2016

Location: Park Avenue (200 Block)

Incident: On Thursday, June 23, 2016, a woman was at the residence of an acquaintance when she stole his tablet. The woman then attended a pawn shop downtown and pawned the tablet for a sum of money. On June 27, 2016 the victim learned from a friend that the woman had done this and attended the pawn shop where he located his tablet. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and investigated.

As a result, a 28 year-old Brantford woman was arrested and charged with Theft. She was held for a bail hearing.

Type: Break and Enter (Residential)

Incident # 16-22960

Date: June 27, 2016

Location: Park Avenue (0-100 Block)

Incident: On Monday, June 27, 2016 at approximately 2:50 p.m. a man and a woman attended an address on Park Avenue. The woman stood outside the residence with a wagon while the man entered through an unlocked front door. The man stole various items and then placed them in the waiting wagon. The two then fled the area. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and located the man and woman a short distance away from the residence. They were arrested without incidence.

As a result, a 23 year-old Brantford woman was charged with Break and Enter and Breach of Probation x’s 2. She was released on a Promise to Appear for a future court date.

A 38 year-old Brantford man was charged with Break and Enter and released on a Promise to Appear for a future court date.

Type: Mischief

Incident # 16-23036

Date: June 28, 2016

Location: Dalhousie Street (100 Block)

Incident: On Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at approximately 1:20 a.m. a man attended a business on Dalhousie Street and threw an 8 inch adjustable wrench through the window causing the glass to shatter. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and investigated the incident. The man was located a short distance away and was arrested without incidence.

As a result, a 23 year-old Brantford man was charged with Mischief and Breach of Probation x’s 3. He was held for a bail hearing.
