Brantford Crime Briefs – 28April2016

Date: April 27, 2016

Location: Brantwood Park Road (100 Block)

Incident: On Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at approximately 4:40 p.m., the accused attended a gas station on Brantwood Park Road while wearing a black hoodie, prescription glasses, and a bandana covering his nose and chin. The accused approached the gas station attendant and demanded money while holding a large shovel. The attendant complied and then the accused fled the area. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and investigated. Witnesses in the area were able to positively identify the accused. Through investigation, it was learned that the accused fled to an address in Simcoe. The Brantford Police Service contacted the OPP for assistance, and the accused was arrested in Simcoe without incidence. As a result, a 17 year-old Brantford youth was arrested and is charged with Robbery, Disguise with Intent, and Failure to comply with a Youth Sentence. He was held for a bail hearing.
