Date: September 26, 2016
Incident: On Sunday, September 25, 2016 at approximately 3:20 a.m. a man attended the residence of his ex-girlfriend and entered it without permission. Once inside, he started to smash items belonging to the woman. The woman attempted to get away from the man and he grabbed her wrist and refused to let her leave. The woman was able to get away from the man at which point her stole her car keys and drove away from the area in her vehicle. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and located the vehicle a short distance away from the house.
On Monday, September 26, 2016 the man turned himself in at the Brantford Police Service to answer to the charges.
As a result, a 26 year-old Brantford man was charged with Break and Enter, Assault, Theft, and Mischief. He was held for a bail hearing on September 27, 2016.
Domestic assaults are criminal offences. Before life stressors escalate to the point of physical violence and threats, the Brantford Police Service encourages men and women who are experiencing difficulties, to take advantage of the services offered in the community.

Location: Bruce Street (100 Block)
Incident: Sometime overnight on Monday, September 26, 2016 a business compound was entered on Bruce Street. At the time of the investigation car batteries and wiring was reported stolen.

Incident # 16-36135
Date: September 26, 2016
Incident: On September 24, 2016 a man was observed jumping on the hood of his neighbours’ car causing it to have significant damage to the hood. On Monday, September 26, 2016 community patrol officers were contacted and investigated.
As a result, a 27 year-old Brantford man was arrested and charged with Mischief and Breach of Probation. He was held for a bail hearing on September 27, 2016.
