Type: Impaired Driver – Care and Control

Incident: 2686-16

Location: West Street at Clarence Street

Details: On January 23, 2016 shortly after 5:00 p.m. a concerned citizen telephoned the police to report a possible impaired driver on West Street. The caller advised that a female driver was ‘all over the road’. Officers located the vehicle parked in a lot at West Street and Clarence Street, the vehicle was running and a female was sitting in the driver’s seat. Officers spoke with the female and issued a demand to provide by the roadside an approved screening device. The results were a fail and the accused was arrested and transported to the BPS. The accused provided two samples of her breath which results were 3 times the legal limit. The accused a 54 year old Brantford woman is charged with Over 80 milligrams. The accused was released with a future court date. Further the accused licence was automatically suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for 7 days.

Incident: 2373-16

Location: Colborne Street East (400 block)

Details: Sometime over the weekend a glass window on a storm door and a window on a truck parked at a home on Colborne Street were smashed. There are no suspects and it is unknown what caused the damage.
