Date: June 21, 2016

Location: St. Paul Avenue (400 Block)

Incident: On Tuesday, June 21, 2016 a woman attended a financial institution on St. Paul Avenue and cashed a cheque for a sum of money. Later it was determined by the institution that the cheque was fraudulent. On Thursday, June 23, 2016 Community Patrol Officer were contacted and investigated the incident. As a result, the 16 year-old Brantford woman was charged with Fraud and released on an Appearance Notice for a future court date.

Date: June 23, 2016

Location: King George Road (300 Block)

Incident: On Thursday, June 23, 2016 a man attended a business on King George Road. He proceeded to select various items off of the shelves and place them into a shopping cart. The man then left the store with the shopping cart and all the items without making any attempt to pay for them. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and investigated the theft. The man was arrested outside of the business without incident. As a result, a 53 year-old Brantford man was charged with Theft, Possession of Stolen Property, and Breach of Probation. He was held for a bail hearing.
