On April 14th, 2017, members of the Brantford Police Service arrested a 35 year old male for 2 separate incidents of robbery within the City of Brantford.
On April 6th, 2017, the accused entered the Mac’s Convenience Store on Erie Avenue with his face covered and armed with a knife. The accused robbed the lone clerk of a quantity of cash before fleeing on foot.
On April 9th, 2017, the same accused male attended Maple Convenience on Colborne Street. Once again, the accused was wearing a disguise over his face and produced a knife. The accused fled after robbing the clerk of cash.
There were no injuries in either of the robberies.
As a result of the investigation, police were able to identify the accused. He was arrested without incident. During the course of the arrest, the accused was found in possession of several articles of clothing that were used in the robberies.
The male is charged with robbery with a weapon x2 and disguise with intent x2.
