Incident: On Saturday, April 16, 2016 at approximately 12:30 a.m. a man attended the residence of his ex-girlfriend and engaged in an argument with her. The argument escalated and the man pushed the woman to the ground. He then got on top of her and gestured that he was going to punch her. The man got off of the woman and left the residence. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and investigated the incident. On Sunday, April 17, 2016 at approximately 3:20 p.m., the man turned himself into BPS to answer to the charges. As a result, a 21 year-old Brantford man is charged with Assault and Fail to Comply with Recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing.

Incident: On, Saturday, April 16, 2016 at approximately 3:50 p.m. a woman was at a residence in Brantford allowing her child to visit with her ex-boyfriend’s mother. Her ex-boyfriend is the father of the child. At this time, the ex-boyfriend returned home and became angry that the woman was at the residence. The man began yelling at the woman and held her against a dresser while he gestured and threatened that he was going to punch her. The man took the woman’s cell phone away from her preventing her from calling police for help. The woman was able to contact 911 from a land line and Community Patrol Officers investigated the incident. As a result, a 27 year-old Brantford man was arrested and charged with Assault, Uttering Threats, Intimidation, and Breach of Probation. He was held for a bail hearing.

Location: Brantwood Park Road (0-100 Block)
Incident: Sometime between 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 16, 2016 and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 17, 2016, a residence was entered on Brantwood Park Road through a front door that was forced open. At the time of the investigation electronics, video games, and money were reported stolen.

Date: April 17, 2016
Incident: On Sunday, April 17, 2016 at approximately 4:10 p.m., Community Patrol Officers were contacted to a residence by a woman who was requesting her boyfriend be removed due to his intoxicated state. BPS attended and investigated. During the investigation, it was also found that the man had stolen medication and electrical cables from his girlfriend. As a result, a 47 year-old Brantford man was arrested and charged with Theft, Possession of Stolen property, Breach of Probation and Fail to comply with a Recognizance. He was held for a bail hearing.
