Incident: On Sunday, October 16, 2016 at approximately 3:30 a.m., a man was observed entering a Chevrolet Colorado pick-up truck that was parked in a driveway on D’Aubigny Road. The man stole loose change and a bank debit card of the victim. The man was then seen entering a vehicle that had been waiting in the area. Community Patrol Officers were contacted and a description of the man and the vehicle were provided. At approximately 4:10 a.m., police located the vehicle travelling on Clarence Street and a traffic stop was conducted. A man matching the description provided by witnesses was located in the back of the vehicle and he was arrested. Initially, the man provided a false name to police however after being advised that he would be charged with several offences, he provided his real name. He was also found to be in possession of several other wallets and identification which were taken from other vehicles.
As a result, a Cyle VANBYNEN, 24 years of Elgin Street in Brantford was charged with various criminal offences such as Theft, Possession of Stolen Property x’s 4, and Obstruct Police. He was held for a bail hearing on October 17, 2016.

Incident: On Sunday, October 16, 2016 at approximately 1:00 p.m. the victim attended the residence of his girlfriends’ father. When he entered, the victim was ambushed and was pushed into a wall and then slammed into a closet door. This caused the door to break. The accused then choked the victim. The victim was able to get away and contacted police for assistance.
As a result, a 53 year-old Brantford man was arrested and charged with Assault. He was released on a Promise to Appear for a future court date.

Location: Terrace Hill Street at West Street
Incident: On Sunday, October 16, 2016 at approximately 5:40 p.m. Community Patrol Officers were contacted to attend an address on Terrace Hill Street to help keep the peace while a woman removed her belongings from a residence she shared with a former roommate. After the women retrieved her belongings she was unhappy and pushed a shopping cart full of her property down the Terrace Hill Street hill. The shopping cart reached the bottom of the hill where it stuck a vehicle at a high rate of speed. The resulting impact caused severe damage to the rear passenger door. As a result, Jacqueline Annie MURRIN, 27 years of West Street in Brantford was arrested and charged with Mischief and Mischief Endangering Life. She was released on a Promise to Appear for a future court date.
