Type: Break and Enter (Residential)

Incident # 16-29596

Date: August 15, 2016

Incident: Sometime in the morning of Friday, August 12, 2016, a man attended his grandfather’s residence and entered it using a key that he had stolen from another family member. While in the residence he stole various items which included money, a cheque book, and cigarettes. On Saturday, August 13, 2016, the man attempted to cash one of the cheques at a financial institution in Hamilton. No money was given, and police were contacted and investigated.

On Monday, August 15, 2016 a 27 year-old Brantford man was arrested and charged with Break and Enter and Breach of Probation. He was held for a bail hearing on August 16, 2016.

Location: Hilton Street (0-100 Block)

Incident: Sometime overnight on August 15, 2016, a shed was entered at a residence on Hilton Street. At the time of the investigation tools were reported stolen.

Type: Recovered Stolen Vehicle

Incident # 16-30078

Date: August 15, 2016

Location: Fisher Street at McGuiness Drive

Incident: On Monday, August 15, 2016 at approximately 1:30 p.m. a Chevrolet Silverado pick-up truck was recovered at the intersection of Fisher Street and McGuiness Drive. The vehicle had been reported stolen to the Hamilton Police Service on August 13, 2016.
