Come Join Us for the First Annual Police vs. Fire Charity Slow-Pitch Game
On Sunday, September 18th, 2016 at 3 p.m. the biggest softball event of the year will be taking place at Cockshutt Park, Arnold Anderson Field! The Branford Police Service will be taking on the Brantford Fire Department in a friendly yet competitive charity slow-pitch game. The Brantford Police Services welcomes members of the community and our media partners to attend!
Constable Simon O’Toole of the Brantford Police Service and Firefighter Jason Bowen of the Brantford Fire Department offer a friendly challenge before Saturdays’ game.
Admission is $2.00 and those attending are also encouraged to bring a non-perishable food donation. All proceeds will be donated to Ethan’s Lemonade Stand.
Ethan’s Lemonade Stand will be in attendance selling lemonade and bow-ties to raise money for Juvenile Arthritis.
Ethan began fundraising in March 2013 with the goal of raising one million dimes for Juvenile Arthritis. To date, Ethan has raised 551, 935 dimes (or $55,195) for Arthritis and around $10,000 for other causes. Ethan hosts an annual lemonade stand, attends community events, is a motivational speaker and sells bow-ties and art to fundraise for his causes.
Ethan is also going to be the guest of honour to throw out the opening pitch!
